A Guide For Community Veterans and Youth

VFW Broze Legacy Life member Ron Milton is Still Serving his community in Belleville, Illinois, through local leadership positions and as a member of VFW Post 1739.

Milton serves on the St. Clair County Veterans Assistance Commission where he helps veterans and their families receive benefits from local, state and federal agencies.

“I want to be a voice that helps veterans get the benefits they deserve,” he said.

Additionally, as the Department of Illinois Scouting chairman and Boy Scouts of America commissioner — and former scoutmaster and Cub Scout den leader — Milton helps local scouts succeed by supporting leaders, maintaining standards and coaching adult leaders.

Finally, Milton keeps very active at his VFW Post, where he has served as commander, quartermaster and adjutant. He has also served at the district level as commander and as the state scouting chair.

“I enjoy mentoring our youth and helping them become confident, successful future leaders,” Milton said.
