Preserving a Place for Veterans
Clarence Dietz is a veteran Still Serving as a Gold Legacy Life member of VFW Post 3031 in Rogers, Arkansas. Dietz serves on the Post’s House Committee where he handles the general maintenance of their entire facility, from painting walls to fixing the refrigerator.
He’s an active participant in many of the Post’s local community events, like its VFW Buddy Poppy drive in May that honors veterans who died during service or came home disabled.
Dietz also repairs electric motor scooters — free of charge — for other veterans to use.
When asked why he is Still Serving, Dietz says it’s because he wants to preserve a place for all veterans to gather and share their stories.
