Providing a Boost to Struggling Veterans
Veteran Milan Christi is Still Serving his Lebanon, Pennsylvania, community with help from his therapy dog, Sadie. Although Sadie loves meeting all new people, she has a soft spot for veterans and others she can sense need a boost.
“I understand from experience how much a dog can influence a patient’s well-being,” Christi a Life member of VFW Post 6076 said. “That’s why I enjoy introducing Sadie to other veterans who may be struggling.”
The pair can be found spreading goodwill and lending support at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, which was recently named the top VA medical facility in the country, and other clinics, hospice sites, nursing homes and rehab centers.
“As a Lebanon native, I have profound respect for our local VA medical facility and am proud to give back to this community,” he said.
