Where did you serve and what did you do?

I enlisted at 32 into the Army Reserve on December 20th of 2019 in Chicago. Served 6 years & deployed to Kuwait & Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve. My MOS is 92Foxtrot, Petroleum Supply Specialist.

During my tour in Iraq, I was the lead fueler that supplied nearly 15K gallons of fuel for a 12November Company that kept 64 pieces of construction equipment mission capable while the unit built hesco walls, buildings, improved roads, etc. Was also a mail clerk during the time & volunteered at the USO.

How are you Still Serving?

I became a lifetime member at the VFW back in March, a month after returning home from tour.

Come from a long line of military, my maternal grandfather served in the United States Army as an Infantryman with the 8th Infantry Divison stationed in Germany during Operation Gyroscope the year 1956, had a paternal grand uncle that served in the US Army in the AMD from 1958 to 1960 during the Cold War, my paternal great grandfather served in the US Army with Co. G of the 742nd Amphibian Tank Battalion during WWII from October 1942 to February 1946 in the states, had a great grand uncle that served in the US Army from March of 1943 to March of 1946 with Battery C of the 218th Field Artillery during WWII serving in the Pacific in the Philippines & New Guinea being decorated the Silver Star & Purple Heart.

Had a great grand aunt that served in the Women's Army Corps from August 1943 to February 1945 during WWII, another great grand uncle that was US Army from December 1944 to January 1946 during WWII. My paternal great grandmother was a Rosie Riviter in 1943 & a USO Volunteer @ Great Lakes late 1940s.

Had great great grand uncles that were in the US Army/Infantry during the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII. Had 3rd & 4th great grandfathers in the American Civil War on both sides, had a 5th great grand uncle that was a colonel in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Had 5th, 6th & 7th great grandfathers that served in the French & Indian War, American Revolutionary War & War of 1812.

Joined the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Sons of Confederate Veterans & Order of the Second World War from 2016 to 2017.

Its a deep lineage Im proud of & glad that I have served the great country.
