Where did you serve and what did you do?

USAF 3-1966 to 11-1987 Air Traffic Control

How are you Still Serving?

As I have said many times before. Through my VFW Post 10804, I work with the Myrtle Beach VA Clinic to help them provide food, clothing and other necessities for homeless veterans and veterans and their families in the immediate area who are having a tough time making ends meet. The Myrtle Beach VA Clinic has many supporters of their veteran assistance programs, but there are times when they have immediate, or specific needs. When this happens, I get an email from the Volunteer Service Manager stating a specific need. I then go out and secure the funding for the purchases I will make to support this need. Less than a week later, I am making the requested delivery to the VA Clinic. Fortunately I have my Post, my community, a local non-profit, a woman veteran business owner and my wife's and I own personal donations, who are all willing to help me help veterans in need. The picture is of me delivering $409 in food and a pair of requested sneakers to the Myrtle Beach VA Clinic in January.

Why do you do it?

I know there is a need out there. I am fortunate to have a very good support program out there that believes in helping as much as I do.
