How are you Still Serving?

The Myrtle Beach SC VA Clinic does an admirable job of helping to feed area veterans, their families and the homeless veterans. They do this through donations to their United to Combat Hunger and Curbside Delivery food collection and distribution system. Almost everything they provide to those less fortunate comes from donations. As a member of North Myrtle Beach SC Post 10804, I donate my time and efforts to help the clinic fulfill their needs. Not only with food, but clothing also. My most recent endeavor involved securing a VFW UCH Grant through our post. I next checked with the UCH lead at the clinic for specific items they needed for the upcoming holidays. She sent me a specific list of immediate need items. I took that list and the Grant money and went out and purchased and delivered, with the help of our Post Commander Mike Mallory, $1,564 in requested non-perishable food items. Why do you do it?

Because I can, because it is great to be able to help less fortunate veterans.
