Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served in the US Navy onboard the USS Mars AFS – 1 working in the Medical Department during the first Gulf War.
How are you #StillServing?
Today I serve the citizens of Brunswick in the Great State of Ohio. I am currently a detective for the City of Brunswick Division of Police.
I also serve as the Judge Advocate of the Brunswick VFW Post 9520 assisting in their legal needs and anything with technology. I started up a web page and a Facebook page to keep our members informed before and during this pandemic.
Why do you do it?
During this pandemic, the citizens of Brunswick expect when they call 911 a First Responder will show up no matter what. Further, I work closely with the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I receive “cyber tips” from them in regards to exploited children and have to act quickly when children are in danger or are being exploited.
I am also a computer and mobile device forensic expert in the extraction of information from these devices to assist this agency and other agencies in cases to include homicides.
Good people are staying home as directed but the bad guys don’t follow rules and are still out there taking advantage of people young and old. They are still breaking into the now-closed businesses and some businesses are not following the Health Departments Order to close and we have to follow up on these businesses failing to follow the state’s orders.
Not only do I care about my Citizens of Brunswick but all of our Veterans as well. I keep myself available to all of our Veterans and Post Members to assist them in any way needed and try to keep them informed with the current events via social media.
