Where did you serve and what did you do?
I was a field wireman and then a radio operator with 1st battalion 1st Marines and 3rd battalion 10th Marines. I served during Desert Storm.

I suffer mobility issues due to my service-connected disabilities. Tsusga (Chewesga) is my service dog, he assists me getting dressed and picks up items should I drop them. He also allows me to steady myself should I fall or need help getting up off floor. He can also fetch my wife should I fall. His assistance allows my wife to work outside of home without worrying.
Having Tsusga by my side allows me to travel outside the home and better enjoy life. The veterans program Semper K-9 has been assisting with his training. Tsusga is much more than a service dog, he’s my best buddy
Why do you do it?
Over the years and with age my disabilities have only gotten worse. I’m so blessed to have him in my life, without him I would be forced to rely on family more and lose my independence.
