Where did you serve and what did you do?

I am a retired Army Reserve Nurse. I was activated and mobilized twice once for Desert Storm and again in Iraqi Freedom. I spent about 15 years with medical units and last 6 or so with a logistical unit until I retired.

How are you Still Serving?

I currently work as a triage nurse and also as an emergency room nurse. With my triage job, we are active and arranging testing and treatment for those likely affected by COVID-19 according to our protocols. The medical community along with many other to include grocery workers, truckers, environmental services, respiratory therapists, ancillary hospital workers, pharmacists and restaurants to name some are stepping up to the plate to carry out the country. We are proud to do it.

Why do you do it?

Once a soldier or military person, I think you will forever have the knack or yearning to care for fellow man and to try to protect them from dangers seen and unseen.
