Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served in the USMC from 1965 until 1969. I was a tank commander in Vietnam.
How are you #StillServing?
I suffer from PTS and TBI from a large anti-tank mine. Because of this, I never want anyone to have to live the life I did. I was also alarmed by the number of veteran suicides. I started the Veterans Brotherhood. We take homeless veterans off the streets as soon as we hear about them – when they are at their lowest and nowhere to turn. Many are living in their cars with their families. No one is paid in the Veterans Brotherhood. 99 percent of what comes in goes out to helping veterans. Our only funding is from donations. We get no government funding because you know what happens when the government gets involved. We are a 501C3 and have an outstanding reputation in the veteran community.
Why do you do it?
I never want another person to have to live the life I did.
