Where did you serve and what did you do?

Kuwait, Operation Southern Watch 2001 – Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom 2002 – Qatar, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004. I was an aircraft armament systems specialist, making sure our fighters (A-10s and F-16s) had a 100% weapons release rate when providing close air support for US and coalition forces in battle.

How are you Still Serving?

I am active with my VFW. I’m also a district 5 service officer and a legacy life member. We just delivered care packages to two assisted living facilities that care for a number of Vietnam and other veterans for veterans day. Recently we had only one honor guard member available, so another member and I stepped in to make a complete firing party as part of the veterans day ceremony. I did a short stint in honor guard while on active duty.

Why do you do it?

It’s a duty to keep giving back. To help fellow veterans in need and make sure no one is forgotten.
