Where did you serve and what did you do?

Operation Desert Shield / Storm. I was a medic for 3/27 FAR-MLRS under the 18th Airborne Corp from Fort Bragg.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

Zeus, my German Shepherd has been with me for 3 years in October. I received him and handlers training from a local nonprofit called Operation Rambo from grants pass Oregon. He has helped me reintegrate into society allowing me to confidently leave my home because of my PTSD. I felt so grateful to have him, I volunteered to help Operation Rambo train other dogs & potential veteran handlers interested in having a service animal. I’ve been a certified AKC handler trainer for almost a year.

Why do you do it?

The benefit of having Zeus had allowed me to live a life I didn’t know I could live. I wanted to “pay it forward” & show other veterans having a service animal is feasible.
