Where did you serve and what did you do?
Vietnam 1969 to 1970, Whidbey Island Naval Airbase, Marine Barracks, Whidbey Island, WA 1971-1972
I enlisted on 10 Oct 1968, United States Marine Corps, I was a 0311 a Rifleman in Nam, and base Security at Whidbey Island Naval base.
How are you #StillServing?
I fly my two American flags on my pickup all the time, these are not those little flags but 3’x5′ flags. I stand on a flag line at cemeteries with the Patriot Guard Riders.
Why do you do it?
Everywhere I go I represent the Marine Corps and our veterans. I fly my flags to show my pride of being an American. I stand on those flag lines to show respect for our fallen brothers and sisters. I’m no big war hero, I am just a Vietnam vet who served and did my time. There is one thing you’ll know when you see me and that is I’m a Marine and very proud of it.
