Gus my 8 year old German Shorthair Pointer. He is a Service Dog and hunter. I use him to visit vets at the VA Hospital and vets in hospice with Veteran’s Last Patrol. I also take wounded combat vets with PTSD hunting for ducks and pheasants with Gus. No charge for the guide. They say it is quicker than therapy. Whiskey, cigars and sea stories at night around the fire. I also guide a salmon fishing trip to Kodiak, Alaska each year with these vets. Gus does not go on that one because of Grizzly Bears.
Why do you do it?
I love the vets. Best people on the planet. They would die for you in a heartbeat. Also, I want to give back for all God has blessed me with.
