Where did you serve and what did you do?
I’m currently in the Army Reserve after being deployed to Kuwait and Iraq the first time then to Kosovo the second time.
How are you #StillServing?
I am still in the Army Reserve. My full-time job is with Warriors Helping Warriors, a non-profit started and operated by my father MAJ Kevin Conley (ret) and grandfather LTC Bill Conle (ret). We house homeless veterans and work with them on navigating the VA, showing them the different programs out there to help them and all sorts of other life skills to prevent them from ending up homeless when the veteran leaves our program.
Why do you do it?
My father had the idea to help other veterans when he came home banged up from Afghanistan in 2010. When my godfather died, my dad’s idea blossomed into a transitional home for homeless veterans. We purchased an 1800’s “peach mansion” in the heart of Middletown, Delaware and started construction. We do it to honor the memory of my godfather who was big into “Random Acts of Kindness” and to help our veterans homeless and not homeless.
