Where did you serve and what did you do?
Vietnam 1968-1969. Marine Corps blt 2/7, transition 1969 to Danang, South Vietnam. 1st engineer blt 2nd plt charlie co. combat d engineer (demolition) attachment to Marines 2battalion 7 Marines.
I volunteered during the draft era. Little boy, age 12, that came from Cuba, an immigrant to the USA. Applied for USA citizenship in the country due to the suggestion from my squad leader. I never imagined!! I was 20 yrs old when I reported to boot camp at Parris Island. 53 years have passed. I’m now a grandpa at 73.
Served 1968 to 1974. Honorable Discharge. Served Marines reserved unit in Miami, FL after Vietnam 4th Anglico combat intelligence unit. (Spanish language) unit.

All USA veterans group, also United Way of Miami Dade county Mission United. Honored to be selected Florida honor flight may 4,2019. Last veteran flight to Washington, DC (before COVID-19), subsequent all future flight still TBA.
Why do you do it?
Spanish tradition: country, liberty, democracy, the pursuit of happiness, dignity, honor, patriotism… All males served in Cuba-Military, and my father Eduardo F Lombard WWII USA Army veteran.
