Where did you serve and what did you do?
USS Whidbey Island LSD-41. Protected veterans also with PTSD. Interior communication
How are you #StillServing?
I am a VFW and National Home for Children member, Post 4073 Marshall, MI. I am helping many veterans and others understand the unemployment process. Many of them have not filed for many years and need help completing the online process so I walk them through it and answer any questions.
I am a skilled trades electrician and many skilled trades personnel are not getting informed or help so I reach out to them as well. I also support our hero’s at the local hospital as my wife is one of them. We try to make sure our elderly friends and family stay home and run there necessity errands for them.
Why do you do it?
I do it because I enjoy researching and helping others that are not informed, have no one to help, and feel it’s my duty as a veteran of this great country to help when I can. I took an oath and still follow it. This pandemic is the enemy. If the Navy called me up today at 46 years old I would not hesitate to join their ranks once again.
We also support the women and her engineering team in Traverse City. My wife goes and helps them with food and support. The picture is of my wife (Crystal), my stepdaughter Alyssa, and myself. They are the true heroes in this I just support them, veterans, skill trades, and anyone else that can use my abilities.
Thank you and God bless America.
