Where did you serve and what did you do?

VFW Post 1797 organized and conducted three separate Memorial Day programs at two local cemeteries and at a cemetery in a neighboring community. VFW Post 1797 Commander and Sr. Vice Commander also participated in a Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed building actvity on May 30, 2026 that builds beds for youth who do not have beds in their homes.

How are you Still Serving?

I am serving as the Post Commander for VFW Post 1797 and have also been a District VFW Commander for three years. I am also the chairman of our local County Veterans Affairs Commission, having served for the past 20 years.

Why do you do it?

To make sure that veterans are getting the services that are available to them and enjoy the commradrie with fellow veterans
