Where did you serve and what did you do?

I join the Army in 1990 and served in Korea, Belgium, Turkey and Atlanta, Georgia. My MOS was a 71L Administrative NCO. All my duty stations were interesting and challenging. I was proud to serve at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and represent our Nation within the Alliance. I went on to serve at the Center for Disease Control and Enivronmental Protection Agency.

How are you Still Serving?

I am the Public Affairs Officer at VFW Post 6073, and I serve as the Secretary for the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County. I also serve as the Lay Leader and Historian at my local church. Additionally, I am the Chairperson for the North Alabama United Methodist Commission for Archive and History and represent the Conference within the South East District.

Why do you do it?

I have been a public servant my entire life and always will be, but the opportunity to continue serving along side other veterans at the VFW has been a phenominal boost to my morale and healing. There is so many great opportunities to serve and give back to the our local community that cherished and supports veterans and their families.
