Where did you serve and what did you do?

As the Commanding Officer of USCG Port Security Unit 309, I served as the USN Deputy Task Group Commander for Kuwait Harbor, as my unit was part of the port security operations mission.

How are you Still Serving?

Upon retiring from the USCG I was appointed the Director of Emergency Management for the county in which I live and I also serve as the Staff Officer to the Chief/Public Information Officer for a volunteer fire department in the county. I am also a part time Deputy Sheriff. [Retired Command Level (Captain) from the Kentucky State Police]

Why do you do it?

I had many mentors, the first of which was my WWII Veteran dad, who instilled in me to take pride in service to others so I need to pay it forward.
