Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in the United States Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist flying on the EC-130H Compass Call with the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron. I studied Korean Language at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. My expeditionary experience includes serving in both OIF (Iraq) and OEF (Afghanistan) in 2010.

How are you Still Serving?

Today, I provide mental healthcare to fellow-Veterans, and professionals in fields like Aviation, Tech, Law & Medicine across the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice. I also volunteer with the non-profit End of Life Washington, providing pro bono decisional-capacity evaluations to terminally-ill clients.

Why do you do it?

Providing mental healthcare to Veterans allows me to stay connected with a community that had a profound impact on the course of my life and career. The USAF provided me access to education through the GI Bill, and lifelong friendships. It is a privilege and honor to continue to serve Veterans and Active-duty service members.
