Where did you serve and what did you do?

U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1976. I was an officer stationed in Pearl Harbor and completed a WestPac/Vietnam while serving there.

How are you Still Serving?

I am a docent at the James Farm Ecological Preserve, I teach courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and I teach a 2-day course for the UD by the Sea Program (see picture)

Why do you do it?

I enjoy engaging with people in my community. I was a professor at the University of Delaware for 23 years, and taught high school for 17 years prior to that. I think learning is important no matter what your age.
