Where did you serve and what did you do?
Over my 19.5 years of service, thus far, I have served CONUS and OCONUS. I have deployed at sea in South America, and up and down the eastern coast of North America. I have been stationed in Sicily, mobilized in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Unified Response – Haiti, and deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan and Manama, Bahrain. I have been stationed aboard the USS Simpson, and assigned to NAS Sigonella, Expeditionary Communications Detachment – 4, Naval Cargo Handling Battalion – 11, as well as Coastal Riverine Squadrons 10 and 4.
How are you #StillServing?
I am still serving today by “Protecting Those Who Defend America” as a DoD Civilian Firefighter and as a member of the Navy Reserves.
Why do you do it?
I continue to serve as because it is what I feel compelled to do.
