Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served around the world in my 20 years of active duty as a Human Resources Manager, including Korea and Desert Storm.
How are you #StillServing?
I’m the Chairman of the VFW Post 8273 Motorcycle Group in Frisco, TX. I’m also active within our veteran community with several VSO’s and the Chamber of Commerce. I’m always networking with veterans to be a connector or facilitator to help them in whatever capacity they might need.
Why do you do it?
It’s very satisfying for me personally to be a part of the veteran community, I enjoy meeting and talking to other veterans about their service, and as the husband of a combat veteran (she’s my post commander this year, so proud of her!) we get to do it all together. 🙂
It’s important that we as veterans are educating our future members on what the VFW can do for the veteran community through our programs and in my opinion, post 9/11 veterans are most important demographic when it comes to sustaining membership levels in order to continue providing quality leaders to speak on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
