Where did you serve and what did you do?
OIF 08-09. Rebuild efforts, training IP
How are you #StillServing?
My service dog and I and spread knowledge about service animals whenever we get the chance. We help pave the way for other disabled individuals by explaining some of the ADA laws and business liabilities. The law allows me access, not the right to stay. I am liable for my K9’s actions, not the business. Explaining it is unlawful to request paperwork because the only real document to have a service dog is to be disabled, they can ask if I am disabled but not for my medical documents.
For help with service dog access please refer to the DOJ Hotline at 1-800-514-0301.
Why do you do it?
I believe that there is discrimination in America; but we can fix that through education.
Knowledge is powerful, my service dog helps me.
Betty and I trained with TADSAW, as a Participant Trained Service Dog. They assigned us a trainer who trained me to train my dog.
