Where did you serve and what did you do?

I was stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Tx. I worked with the PATRIOT Missile System in the Air Defense Artillery. I deployed to Qatar and Kuwait for OEF/OIF in 2003/2004

How are you Still Serving?

I am the Senior Vice Commander at Post 4480. I own a Veteran operated junk removal company called JDog, we donate a lot of the good items that we pick up to Veterans in need. I host This Sober Vet Podcast where our mission is to normalize sobriety with Veterans. I started a local Veterans business owners group called Got Your 6.

Why do you do it?

We served our country, now we serve our community! Being a Soldier, service to others is just what we do. It fills our bucket, gives us purpose. I self medicated with alcohol for years to the point where I almost lost everything. Choosing sobriety was the hardest yet most rewarding thing that I have ever done. Now, I am on a mission to get other Veterans to stop their addiction and become sober and thriving!
