Post 40 directly supported plaque dedication ceremony in honor of the last surviving member of the 6888th Postal Battalion, Maj. Fannie Griffin-McClendon(ret)
Dept of VA presented Permanent Wall dedication to Maj McClendon:
Sole Survivor of the 6888 Postal Bn (105 yrs. old)
Post 40 awarded Maj McClendon a VFW Life Membership

How are you Still Serving?

Building Partners and Relationships with the People in Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Waddell. Reminding Companies and Organization in those Cities that Veterans paid the price in protecting Freedom and Democracy so that can Prosper. We did it then, We do it now, and We will continue to do it in the Future

Why do you do it?

Maintain the Mission of the VFW, Do more for Veterans and the Communities they live in than any Organization.
