I am a member of many military organizations. I am on the funeral detail. I am on the honor guard. We do around 65 funerals a year. Through our DAV chapter and auxiliary, we have made 150 masks. some were given to funeral home, pharmacy and our Marion VA hospital. I am a member also of Disabled American Veterans. We help Veterans file their claims, have made two wheelchair ramps the past year. Veterans helping Veterans is what it is all about.
Why do you do it?
It is an honor to serve on the funeral detail. I feel we are all family and we need to help our brothers and sisters when we are able. No one left behind. I am very proud to be a part of these organizations. VFW, American Legion, DAV, VVA, and AMVETS. We are here to serve.
