Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served in the U.S. Army at Fort Carson, Colorado, with the 52nd Engineer Battalion and deployed to Mosul in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
How are you Still Serving?
My service didn’t end when I took off the uniform. Today, I’m a Platoon Leader with Travis Manion Foundation (The Mission Continues) – Orange County Platoon and a volunteer leader with Team Red, White & Blue.
Through both organizations, we engage veterans in meaningful community service — building benches and tables for schools and parks, painting, revitalizing neighborhoods, and creating opportunities for veterans to get out, stay active, and reconnect. These events give us a renewed sense of purpose while making a real impact in our local communities.
Why do you do it?
Reconnecting with other veterans was a turning point in my life.
I care deeply about supporting others, and I believe everyone needs a community where they feel safe, accepted, and valued. I do this work because I want to help create that space for my fellow veterans — a place where they can belong, grow, and continue to serve in a new way.
