Gunner is my PTSD service dog through Paws Assisting Veterans. Before having him I had a hard time in public. Had constant nightmares. Now with him, I am very active in the community and state with multiple fraternal and non profit organizations. Gunner and I travel promoting PTSD awareness and service dogs for veterans. Gunner has helped raise over 125,000 dollars for Paws Assisting Veterans through Order of the Eastern Stars Service Dog fundraising. With Gunners help, I have been active in the Masons, Shriners, Eastern Star, York Rite, several youth groups, and 3 veterans organizations.

Why do you do it?

I wanted to take my life and realized it wasn’t fair to my family. My wife suggested getting a service dog and my life has changed tremendously for the better.
