Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served 21 years in the US Army, and retired as a SFC(E-7), with a long tour to Bosnia/Herzegovina in 1996, serving as a MST Wrecker Operator and Trainer and NCOIC of the QA/QC Vehicle Inspection Team. In 2003 I served a short tour to Iraq as a MST NCOIC, deployed with a Water and Fuel Transportation Unit.
How are you #StillServing?
As a Post Commander, I have a big emphasis on remembering those who have served before, Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day ceremonies, doing what I can with helping Unmet Needs, our Programs for recognizing Law Enforcement and First Responders, but especially the VFW Programs that help teach our school age children about Patriotism and why Military Service is so crucial to our Future Generations.
Why do you do it?
I feel there is a need for our communities to realize Freedom isn’t Free, and those who have served deserve their Gratitude. I come from a long line of Veterans, and I believe the public needs to know the sacrifices that have been made to secure our Freedom came at a very high price.
