How are you Still Serving?

I have been an Accredited County Veterans Service Officer for 6 + years serving Veterans, their families and our community. I grew up on Navy bases until I was 16, have been a VFW Auxiliary lifetime member for many years and held a few positions with the local Auxiliary unit. I have also been with the American Legion Auxiliary over 30 years and have served many positions from Unit to Department President. I have been an AL Dual member for 3 years now, serving as Finance Officer. I am always recruiting outside sources to assist our Veterans.

Why do you do it?

Growing up being a Navy brat in the 60’s, 70’s instill a sense of pride and love for our Military and Country and I have seen the sorrow and happiness but most of all I have seen so much need for our Veterans and their families and with being a County Service Officer I try daily to make sure they know I will and do my best to make sure they get what they have earned and deserved.
