Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in the Marine Corps from 1995-2015 both active and reserves and the army reserves til I retired this year with 30 years total. I had several deployments to include Ramadi and Fallajuh.

How are you Still Serving?

I’m currently in the Marine Corps League, Lifetime VFW Member and I’m the Owner and President of Texas4Warriors a non-profit for veterans with PTSD. We’re also an outreach organization helping veterans during the holidays with our Adopt A Vet Program which gives veteran families a Christmas that wouldn’t be able to have as well as local events to raise awareness like rucks that are 22 kilometers to shed light on the 22 suicides a day by our veterans.

Why do you do it?

To be able to give back to those fellow veterans that have written a blank check once in there lifetime and need help in one way or another. Whether that be just hanging out and talking or a shoulder to lean on. I’ve seen to many times 1st hand when veterans are done with their military service and become civilians they are lost and feel like no one is there for them or because they have seen combat they are damaged goods. Sadly some take the route of ending it all. I hope to be able to prevent that if possible in anyway I can. I’ve said for over 20 years .. I’m my Brother’s Keeper
