Where did you serve and what did you do?

I’m a six year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. I spent 2004 in a place called Ar Ramada, Iraq. I was assigned as a machine gun crewman with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

My working dog, K9 Bolt is a three year old German Shepherd. He is a certified Police Service Dog in California. Bolt and I are assigned to a regional drug task force. We support local agencies during tactical operations, serve warrants and apprehend career criminals.

Why do you do it?

For love of the dog, Bolt and I watch each other six. We both wake up everyday, proud to serve our community.
