Where did you serve and what did you do?
1993-1997 Alpha Battery 1st Battalion 11th Marines Camp Pendleton, Ca. Radio Operator for forward observer team. Served in Persian Gulf and Mogadishu, Somalia
How are you #StillServing?
I traded my camouflage uniform in for a grey shirt volunteering with Team Rubicon as the Logistics Section Chief with the Incident Management Team. After serving over a month in Hurricane Dorian devastated Abaco, Bahamas, the call to serve knocked on my front door! Last week I asked my job at Local Union #3 NYC to put me on the night shift from 1900-0130 so I could volunteer from 0800-1530 at Feeding Westchester insuring my neighbors in Westchester County, NY did not go hungry!
Why do you do it?
Having survived 9/11 in NYC and to help fill the void after years of searching for purpose after separating from the Corps. And help those in need in the community where I was born and raised!
