Where did you serve and what did you do?
We cleaned and raked the San Ysidro Cemetery in Corrales New Mexico where 66 veterans are interred. This is an old Catholic Cemetery located in the center of the town. Each year we clean each veteran grave and rake the areas around each site. We also mount a pipe near each headstone that will hold an American flag on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Our Post 5432 donates the flags and picks them up after each Day. The Cemetery still accepts Catholic remains.
How are you Still Serving?
As the commander of Post 5432.
Why do you do it?
To continue to serve all veterans.
