Where did you serve and what did you do?

How are you #StillServing?
I spent last Friday volunteering down at Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (a Feeding America affiliate). The team packed about 400 food boxes for the elderly and disabled folks in our community. TEFAP is a federal program providing supplemental food to shut-ins. The food boxes we packed included a variety of foods, such as milk, juice, cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned meat, and canned fruits and vegetables. Volunteering can still be safely done if the community-service organizations follow all of CDC/WHO’s recommendations AND if YOU are diligent. There are many unmet needs in our community that can be safely addressed…
On the way back home, I stopped off at the American Red Cross to donate a pint.
Why do you do it?
Community service in these challenging times… OORAH!!!
