Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in and during the first Afghanistan war as an Air Force Chaplain.

How are you Still Serving?

As a retired military officer have sworn in new Air Force recruits. I have presented the American Flag to next of kin memorial service of a deceased military member. I have assisted with a local reserve unit being deployed. I recently participated in the Eisenhower Vigil at his Kansas resting place. I also recently spoke for our Veteran’s Day Service as well as a ladies fellowship group, both in Gardner, Kansas.

Why do you do it?

I love my Air Force motto: “Service before self.”
