Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served with 2/505 82nd Airborne in Operation Desert Storm. We were the “Line in the Sand”.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

My service dog greatly helps me acclimate in a crowd of people and deal with my PTSD, he also helps with mobility and other tasks. With the confidence to go out in public we help support awareness for veterans dealing with similar issues through various service dog programs available to veterans.

Why do you do it?

Many veterans are aware of programs but may not know how to access them or what is available locally. We recently attended a 9/11 Memorial Service and spoke with many vets on programs that are offered at no cost to those suffering with service-connected disabilities. Also help with fundraising to pair dogs with veterans as training can reach over $30,000 depending on tasks needed help the vet.
