Where did you serve and what did you do?
4 years in the Marines as an Infantry Machine Gunner (0331), 6 years in National Guard as a Infantry Squad Leader. One year in Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom Force Security.
How are you #StillServing?
I have disabilities but I am still able to give back by volunteering with Ride Connection. They are an amazing Non Profit organization that provides donation/no tipping based transportation for our seniors and people with limited mobility. I donate my time by driving our most cherished citizens to their appointments. I had 2 passengers that I usually picked up the same day to take to the Senior Center. One was an asian lady who had been in the concentration camp during WW2, and sitting next to her was her good friend a WW2 veteran. I heard some of the greatest and most horrific stories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. SEMPER FI
Why do you do it?
I give rides to many veterans and we all agree, because you are out of the service, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue serving your communities, and especially our elders. As a Native American we believe we should take care of those who took care of us.
