Where did you serve and what did you do?

I enlisted on February 28th, 198. I went to NTTC Lakehurst, NY as a PR Survival Equipmentmen. My first duty station was NAS Cubi Pt at Subic Bay Philippines. From there I was at NAS OAK Harbor in Washington State 1990-1998 attached to AIMD, VAQ-129, VAQ-140. Then it was on to NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD. VX-23 and in 2004, I switched rating to an Aviation Storekeeper. In 2007, after 20 years, I retired from Active Duty.

How are you Still Serving?

After retiring I went to work in the supply department for a civilian contractor. I continue ordering parts and supplies for multiple A/C platforms.

Why do you do it?

I continue to utilize my expertise and we are a Union Shop, IAM International Aviation Machinist. The pay is an exception as a reward for my long career.
