Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in Vietnam (Oct 66 to Nov 67) as a Marine Corps grunt

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

My battle buddy is a black Labrador Retriever. He wakes me when I have a bad dream, distracts me when I go hiking and sense an ambush around every corner, and he watches my backside when I do volunteer service work at our local American Legion. We don’t have a VFW in our town, but I’m a life member.

Why do you do it?

I volunteer at The American Legion Post 119 Estes Park, CO 80517 in order to serve veterans, their families and our community.
