Where did you serve and what did you do?
I flew on cargo transport all over the world, but back then (Vietnam) mostly to SE Asia.
How are you #StillServing?
I serve as Captain of Post 2503 Honor Guard. Our Honor Guard performs military honors at veteran funerals, and we have been busy due to the opening of the Omaha National Cemetery. Our Post consists of a very dedicated group (my brothers) and we average between 5-7 funerals a week, sometimes as many as 10 a week. Any verbal compliment we receive is always answered with “It’s an honor.” Once you become a member of our Honor Guard, you come to understand the truth of those three words.
Why do you do it?
Continuing to serve is in the DNA of all our Honor Guard members.
