Where did you serve and what did you do?
I served 37 years as a traditional and active duty member of the Maryland Army National Guard. I deployed in 2016-17 in support of OIR-OSS in Kuwait and Jordan, serving as a Division Operations Sergeant Major for the 29th ID.
How are you #StillServing?
I am starting my third year as an elementary school teacher, teaching third grade in a Title I school in one of the neediest communities in my county.
Why do you do it?
Having been blessed with role models growing up who helped me make good choices in life, I feel obligated to give back and share that gift with my students who may not have a positive male role model in their life.
