‘The Duty to Serve Doesn’t End’

Veteran Tim Parkhurst is Still Serving his community by honoring the Marine scout snipers.

As the founding president of the Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation, Parkhurst leads efforts to construct a memorial in recognition of the scout snipers’ 105 years of service.

The Marine Scout Snipers War Memorial will be constructed near the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Virginia. Renowned sculptor Sabin Howard will craft a bronze sculpture depicting a two-man Scout Sniper team.

For nearly a decade, Parkhurst also served as the director and president of the USMC Scout Sniper Association.

“I’ve continued serving because I believe the duty to serve others doesn’t end with the military,” he said.
