Where did you serve and what did you do?

UAE and Saudi Arabia (Desert Storm) Was active duty Air Force serving as a Information Manager 70250, I handled all administrative matters, responsible for US Mail pick-up and deliver, took on the responsibility of responding to all “Any Serviceman” letters or packages send to squadron as a whole, also managed squadron MWR area.

How are you Still Serving?

I am a past District Commander, current Post Adjutant, current Auxiliary Senior Vice, Current District President and Department Auxiliary Junior Vice President. I work Bingo at our local VA Medical Center once a month, I buy, sort and deliver Birthday Gifts for four children month to our local CASA. I drive our president monthly to make deliveries to Camp Beauregard and Esler Field (National Guard), Pineville Police Department, VA Medical Center and Alexandria Fire House 4. Delivering “Goodie Bags” of either homemade cookies or bags of candy.

Why do you do it?

I made a commitment to this country to serve and protect it when I was sworn into the US Air Force. A commitment that didn’t end when I separated from the Air Force. I was also taught from a young age to help those in need. I am a daughter of a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, a Life Member of the VFW, American Legion, 40 and 8th and AmVets (now deceased) I had a great role model.
