Where did you serve and what did you do?

Served from 12/65 to 12/69. Chu Lai, Vietnam from 4/67 to 4/68.
Marine detachment aboard the USS Yorktown from 12/68 to 9/69.
Highlight was recovering the Apollo 8 capsule and astronauts on 12/27/68.

How are you Still Serving?

Founding member and treasurer of the Stratford Veterans Museum, www.stfdveteransmuseum.org, that opened on
November 13, 2021.

Why do you do it?

We do it to recognize those veterans from Stratford who served our country in war and in peace, and provide a repository for their stories.
Also, we are an important site for school field trips to teach our students about the veterans of our town.
