USAF 1966 to 1987, Air Traffic Control served 22 months in Vietnam.

How are you Still Serving?

Pictured is me presenting the South Carolina Air Force Association Award to Socastee High School, Air Force JROTC Cadet Captain Victor Thiphavong for his outstandingly dedicated service to his school, the community and the AFJROTC, at the Socastee HS annual AFJROTC awards ceremony. The Air Force Association award is the highest award a JROTC Cadet can earn and I had the honor to make that presentation.

Why do you do it?

High School JROTC Cadets are part of the future of the American military and maybe even a part of the military future leadership. I think it important that these cadets know that America’s veterans, including the VFW, support them and encourage them to do whatever they can in fostering their possible military futures.
