Where did you serve and what did you do?

30 yrs in the Air Force, Air Reserve, Air Guard and 9 yrs as a DOD Civilian. I served at Griffiss AFB in support of Desert Shield/Storm, Prince Sultan AB in support of Southern Watch and at Al Udeid in support of OIF/OEF/Horn of Africa. My career field is Bio Environmental Engineering (CBRNE detection, monitoring and decontamination).

How are you Still Serving?

I'm retired now but have taken over as Commander of VFW Post 1417, Morris, NY., after the resignation of our Commander in August 2025. I helped establish Wreaths Across America at Rome Cemetery and seek support from outside agencies for the Feed Our Vets, food pantry, Utica, NY.

Why do you do it?

It's in my ancestry. From Lewis Morris (signer of the Declaration of Independence), to my Grandfather (Okinawa) and my Uncle (Korea), my family has served to defend the freedom and rights that we continue to have today.
