She is the picture of perseverance. She came to me during a snow storm. She was skin and bones. Freezing. That was 3 years ago. She now keeps me company constantly. She knows when I don’t feel well. She then insists that I touch and pet her. She acts silly when I need to be lifted out of my funk. She nuzzles my hand when I get triggered. No, she has not been trained to do any of this.

Why do you do it?

She has turned into my best buddy. I make sure to keep myself healthy and moving so she doesn’t have to worry about me so much.
